Setup Procedure

Step 1: Install "Basic Favorites"

Step 2: Select and approve your subscription

Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions to turn on app embedding in your theme.

  1. Activate the app
  2. Select "Automatic insertion (for standard themes like Dawn)"
  3. Open the theme editor, turn on app embedding and save.

Bonus: Try it on an unpublished theme

❗️ If your store is live, we recommend trying it on an unpublished theme first to ensure a smooth implementation on your live store.

  1. Click "Online Store" in your Shopify admin.
  2. Click "Edit theme" for an unpublished theme in your theme library.

  3. After enabling "Insert Favorite button", select "Preview" from the three-dot menu to check.

  4. Once you've confirmed it's working correctly, implement it on your live theme as well.
